The Reserves turned up at Whyteleafe on Saturday with a mishmash of players, as the first team took away three players at the last minute and two others failed to turn up, leaving Mark Adams with a bit of a headache.
He had to play some players out of position, and it showed by the end of 90 minutes when they were handed a 4-1 defeat. This was against a team lower down the league, and the return match this Saturday is one we hope to reverse the scoreline.
As in previous weeks ,the Woods were lacking a striker, as from sixteen attempts at goal we could only convert one. The opposition had seven chances and scored four times: two of them were deflections giving keeper Mark Britt little chance.
Whyteleafe were four goals ahead before Harry Smart scored a consolation goal for Northwood.
